The Quality and Clinical Standards Committee

The Quality and Clinical Standards Committee is responsible for the following tasks:

Proposing a plan for quality and setting policies, standards, clinical models and national health indicators (KPIs - Standards - Clinical Pathway) to measure the performance of health institutions, including service providers, and suggesting special regulations to support national health indicators (KPIs) including clinical, operational, and financial indicators that align with international standards and priorities for health care in the Kingdom of Bahrain.

Determining the necessary mechanism for collecting the required statistical data using quality tools and methods.

Identifying and monitoring critical indicators for the national health assurance program.

The committee will serve as a benchmark for measuring the implementation of quality programs based on the adopted quality standards, and distributing this information to all healthcare institutions in coordination with the National Health Regulation Authority.

The committee will issue regular reports on national quality indicators according to a regular schedule and in accordance with the requirements of the Supreme Council of Health.

The committee will provide advice, guidance, and technical support as needed to support the overall strategic approach to improving and maintaining quality.

Spread the concepts of quality and work on developing the skills of health organization workers through continuous improvement and development programs.

Organize forums to discuss progress and achievements and improve the quality of health services.

Coordinate with the National Center for Health Information and the Knowledge Management (HIKMA) and the National Authority for the Regulation of Profession and Health Services.
